BIALL Courses[edit]

BIALL Legal Foundations Course[edit]

This is an online course in conjunction with the University of Westminster providing a grounding in legal concepts over the course of several months. It is not a course in how to conduct legal research, but rather a way of getting to grips with the terminology used in the legal profession, to provide a better understanding of the law in England and Wales, and how it has been applied in various subject areas.

Lectures are released on a weekly basis across two terms and remain available to view for four weeks. Members enrolled on the course are required to view these lectures, presented by current academics specialising in different areas of law, to answer multiple choice questions as part of the course assessment.

BIALL Legal Reference Materials Course[edit]

This is a one day course to introduce the structure of the legal system in the UK and use of key legal information sources. The course covers theory of the English legal system, legislation, case law, and practical legal research experience.
